Gaming music

While in a clan tribes2 match the game was in full swing. Stuck at 3-3 with both teams going for the goal, when suddenly the music on the radio (usually okish) changed to a love song ! After 30seconds I had lost the flag and the enemy recaptured it :|

I'm on the look out of a album that would keep the aderline pumping if played in the background.

Anyone recommend any? :)

I find that listening to classical music while gaming/tinkering with hardware improves my performance immensely.
slightly strange tho, as i normally don't really like the classical genre
:D

I found at I7 that if I listened to Pure Garage 4 while playing, our team always won....

Source Direct - "Excorcize the Demons"
Photek - "Modus Operandi"

Those are the two best CD's for intense gaming.

listening to music whilst playing impairs you massively, even if it does increase your fun/adrenaline.

if you have to play listening to music, you can't go wrong with a coupld of albums by Machine Head - "The Burning Red" and "The More Things Change..." will leave you breathless.

:D

My mates normally come round for some reason when I play CS and so they have a muck about on my turntables while I shoot stuff.
Having loud music blaring at me is actually relaxing and tend to play better as a result. Tunes that send me on killing sprees are New Order "Confusion" (Pump Panel mix), Push "Strange World" plus a number of banging trance / hard house toonz.
Also, a bit of Cypress Hill and Blink 182 also does wonders for my aim.

Especially "Out of Control", and "Hey Boy, Hey Girl"

"Modus Operandi" got me through Quake/QuakeWorld. "Exorcize the Demons" is great for Tribes1. Oddly though, neither fit well with Quake2. "Consumed" by Plastikman was the ticket for Q2.

I think what made me drop flag was when someone (could have been mikey B) started singing over the mic. Couldn't stop laughing for a solid 5 mins at least :D. Thankfully someone else picked it up though (not sure who), i wonder what music he was listening to when he dropped and it went to SAS. :)

Hmm, i play guitar, in a band (kinda stereophonics type music) so i have to dissagree with you there :). Although Dance/techno is better for games :)

Anything by Talib Kweli &/or Hi-Tek (Black star) is (are?) good.
Daft punk - Discovery (or even homework)
Anything trancey (with a fast beat)
Anything trancey (with a slow beat)
(HEH)
Lost Prophets - Fake sound of progress (album, not song)
Counting crows - Mr Jones (admittedly only one song, but quite leet)
