oh btw dreamor... do you know if the xbox360 pad will be supported? I reckon it's ideal to play jg with.

I've not tried it but I know people in the office have, most are using Joysticks though right now (Saitek Cyborg Evo (i think)

Its pretty easy to configure for anything, so I don't see why it wouldn't be fine to fly about using a 360 controller.

Hehe the 3-screen setup looks great fun for that cockpit feeling.

(I had to be very careful how I worded that).

I did rather like the Descent map, harkens back to some good but very confusing times, especially after a few beers.

From using the mouse/keyboard, I find it a lot easier and have more control over my ship than people who do use a Joystick. Having said that we have a huge range and joysticks and I only tried 1, which I didn't spend all that long trying to configure.

I think people who have played console games will have better luck with that type of controller (360 obviously) but if you've played a lot of FPS type games then the flying element added to this game isn't that much of an issue, thats how I see it anyway.

Mouse is superior!

I will definitely be a mouse-pilot.

mouse will be good for fighting sure... but I'm sure pad will be good for cargo runs and mining etc. which is prolly what I'll be doing the most.

Looks nice, but I doubt it would hold my attention for too long :)

Isn't this the problem with every single MMO since DAoC tho? Atleast this is different and it's in my taste (Loved these kind of games since elite, wing commander and more recently X3 games )

I was playing Freelancer again the other night. Bugger me that game gets hard further on if you're not careful with ship choices.
