I did blokc a lot of stuff being sent back and forth from 3 different gamespy ip adresses, and the server still ran fine.


Anyway ASE, I have seen the light, hell I even registered it. A lot more than I did with gspy.

if you want proof, i can get it. a while back on the CDV sudden strike message boards there was a thing about this when it was found the arcade intaller (included in the game) installed spyware, and i can find other proof also.

i noticed gamespy trying to connect to ports myself but it was easily blocked and its idiot proof...

gamespy3d of course because gamespy arcade is an annoying piece of crap.

Its faster, easier to use, and looks better, supports more games and adds support faster.

I can connect to game servers through it, and thats all i realy care about tbh.

I have no adverts in my G3D.

My G3D sets ICQ modes as well.

Hey, fellas I'm not trying to sell you ASE, here. All I know is that I used GameSpy3D then GameSpy Arcade for ages. Then I found ASE, now I can't imagine using anything else. It's one of those wonderful and rare products that make you think 'Wow! This is perfect! What a wonderful and rare product.'

Just download it and try it. You might hate it. No probs. You might find you prefere it to GS. Y'know, like... whatever.

spyware is nasty software that gets installed on your system when you install other stuff (alot of freeware/shareware like gozilla carries it) that tracks what you're doing on the internet, and sends the info to the compony that made it.

it's basically using your net connection for market research.

http://www.lavasoftusa.com <-- download some proggy(forget what its called now), and it scans your system for spyware, and deltes it.

hmm seems about 50/50 to me atm.
i think i'll stick with gspy3d for the time being.
