On ther otherhand Games Domain provide some RtCW servers with 60 (!) man limits playing market garden, and they are always full ...

GD have Flashpoint servers too The problem I have with GD is that they're owned by BT... I use BT internet, therefore don't see why I should pay twice for the same thing...

I tried one of those RTCW servers - turned out to be 16vs16 with 28 spectator slots or something. Couldn't join a team and play. Unless I was doing something wrong....

... which knowing me I probably was.

They have public server as well - lieing completely idle.

If I remember correctly - they are hosted at BW, so at least thats a revenue stream

Gah why did BW have to go P2P, its knackered my CS playing completely

Cant play on BW as theres never anyone on, and I cant play on BY as I just get tk'd/twounded every sodding round, Jolt is just crap, and uk2 is even worse, theres nowhere to play CS anymore

That's not very helpful Skyler. Rubbishing the P2P system in it's very early stages isn't going to do it any good, is it? Do what I do if the servers are empty - connect, and wait. Make a cup of tea. As soon as 3-4 people join, the server very quickly fills up.

I was on one this mornig with 40-50 people playing, it was pandemonium

I think the CS servers are taking a hit from the BW P2P subscribers who are now spending half their time playing B1942 (i.e. ME!) - even fewer peeps around this weekend.

Thats because for the past few months they've all been configured & passworded because of the GDOC online tournament that was running. As for P2P there are rakes of GD non subs servers, which neither need login/registration to access.

As for the forums Target, frankly ts. I have to run them & took the decision that i'd rather suffer the task of throwing out the offensive characters, than the task of apologising to people for having to suffer crud (much like Ted had to do here in the General forum a while back), so
