I bought A GC a couple of months ago for the Zelda games, but have only bought Crazy Taxi since then, because most of my gaming spending goes on my Xbox and PC, my GC has been collecting dust and I want to revive it.

Can anyone recommend any decent GC games that are fun to play? I like basically any Genre apart from sports. I played a demo of Metroid the controls took awhile to get used to but I enjoyed that.

I can highly recomend Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, it's the most under-rated game ever, and easily in my 'all time top ten games ever', I gurantee that you'll enjoy it.

A very close second would be Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles... I personally had more fun with this when playing with my mates (and as you should know, you'll all need GBAs, which is cool if you have them, but not if you don't), but it's still cool on it's own.

If you're looking for something that's a bit like Zelda, but not quite, check out Starfox Adventures... I personally found it a tiny bit lacking when compared with Zelda, but still an overly great game, and a lot better than most games. (RIP Rare)

Other than that, for some non-cube exclusives, you might also want to check out both the Prince of Persa games (tho I've not yet played the new one), and Beyond Good & Evil.

They are my top GameCube games, I'm sure there are other that I'd recomend (Super Mario Sunshine, Metriod Prime, Super Smash Bros. Melee, TimeSplitters 2, etc..), but these should keep you busy for a while :)

Super. Monkey. Ball.

Just the title is enough to warrant a purchase.

I've not played the first one, but the multiplayer mode in the second one (which I believe in all you have in the first one) is great if you're pissed, with a bunch of mates, and what to have a laugh...

Don't get Smash bro's melee if you value your joypads.

LOL, I'll agree with that, I'd also like to add both Mario Party 4 and 5 to that "gamepad destroying" list...

Bloody stuck B buttons and wobbly analog.

I made a similer post on a not so similer forum just recently actually and I got some of the replys that are in this thread, so today I went out and bought Super Monkey Ball, Vewitiful Joe,and Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door.

Monkey Ball so far has stood out the most, absoloutly crazy fun, puzzles are mindboggling but fun to play through. Like I said I've only got them this morning so I'll let you know how I get on with them. I put Viewtiful Joe in for a quick bash, the animation looks lovely, I can see why people recommend it so much.

If you like RPG's Tales of Symphonia is a great pick, so far got about 90 hours out the bugger.

Even the Al'mighty Square Enix could take a lesson from Tales of Symphonia battle system, as i find Final Fantasy battle system = TeH Sn0rE...

Got Metroid Prime 2 the other day (finally). Not bad at all. Not as WOW as the first game, but it's early days yet.

Also got Devil May Cry 2 at the same time - so poor in comparison to the 1st one.

:(

Cel shadeing is great, always get a solid fps.

I hate idiots who seems to think childish graphics = crap game or its far to cartoony to be mature game.

Tales of Symphonia used Cell shadeing, as it has a great story line, with lots of serious elements in ect, anyways am rambleing now erm Don't judge a book by its cover *pooof*
