Gamecube - Should I bother?

title says it all :)

I'm happy with my present consoles but I really really REALLY miss the Japanese flavour and general consoleygoodness of my SNES. N64 hasn't really lived up to my expectations (only just got one - well a month back), I love quirky Japanese games, so I presume I'm going to have to go for an import Jap/US cube? Is Freeloader any use? Sorry for all the questions, clueless about the cube :)

I have to disagree with you on this Yaka.

In terms of % quality games to total games released Cube has a higher ratio than the other 2. I can't be arsed to list the games but I have over 20 which I consider excellent and about 15 of those are Cube exclusives.

Freeloader has now made available some stunning games on Cube - Animal Crossing and WE6:FE. Zelda is here in 10 days time and P.N.03 and SC2 are here in 13 days time. You also now have access to Mr Driller and Ikaruga.

No excuse.

Don't bother buying a cube until there is a killer title you know you want for it out, i.e. wait for Zelda & get a bundle.

For £78.99 including a mem card and a game you would be stupid not to.

Argos are now doing them for that price.

Argos Deal

I sometimes wonder if people should count Ono's views, he would buy shit on a stick if it had a Nintendo label on it ;)

It costs £429 though?

Argos are selling a cube for 80 quid...so why why why spend that much?

or buy a GameCube, PS2 and an Xbox and you should have some money left over for some beer.

Totally sorted.

tell me somat apart from the odd ps2,xbox or GC unique game that wont be ported to another console. do anyone think with all these multi-format games comming out(most of em utter shite) is it ruining the satisfaction of owning multiple consoles?

You are quite correct. I can't think of many cross platform game I really like except for TS2 and Burnout.

Looking at my collection of 20+ Cube games the above 2 are the only non-Cube specific games I own.

I did have Rocky and Fifa 2003 but they were sold ages ago.
