Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice towards playing Imported Gamecube games.

I know i can use the software freeloader to play imported games.

Just wondering were i can order US/Jpn memory cards, and Games, am sick of waiting about 5 months for bloody games on my Gamecube.

Just any advice and websites would be nice.

Thanks.

Depends what you mean by format, it certainly doesn't wipe your card, it *occasionally* does it with selected Japanese titles which try to use the wrong character set in the names. JP Donkey Konga is a good example of this. I have several cards at home with mixtures of regions on, PAL titles, US F-Zero, JP Soul Calibur 2 and JP Viewtiful Joe for example. Basically if you're unsure with a Japanese title ask or do some googling.

Other common places for import titles..
Lik-Sang, good selection and shipping from europe for lots of accessories etc.
YesAsia for lots of stuff, good for music and film too.
Tronix for more American stuff.

Thanks for help guys, i found that the memory card issue is only if you have jpn and US/USA saves on the same card.

Thats ok as i already have a spare memory card.

After looking around i manage to get a few good deals, got Resident Evil 4 orded with free delivery for £30, and i also orded baiten kaitos for £30 inc shipping.

Will a US controller work with a europe gamecube, as i found a nice offer of £15 for a Wireless Wave bird.

US wavebird will run fine on your UK cube. That sounds like a bargain.

whilst we're on the subject of imports - if i buy a PAL dreamcast, is it possible to mod it to play NTSC J games? i could just buy an NTSC J DC, but then i'd have to spring for a stepdown transformer yeah? and i can get PAL DC for about 20-25 quid. a quick google didnt really turn up anything.

Lik-sang do an sd memory card convertor, lets you use an sd card to save your games on. No more shitty small memory cards running out of blocks.

Well my first load of imported games arrived today, and they all work fine on freeloader.

Just need to get a RGB scart next for that extra quality.

Thanks again for the websites.
