Game updated ... but says wrong account or password?

Is this the case for all, or just me.

Also, is the update 1.61C? (so I can read update notes someplace while I wait?)

its because of a stupid goa fuckup..... grats to u though u downloaded the US patch.

to fix this open update.dat which is located in your camleot folder.

edit the file with the following lines

Mythic Patch
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat

save file and try running game again.

if it doesnt patch u again..... reinstall

it's a bug that has been on EU servers since mid January, correct me if Im wrong...

bit very old bug yes and people still don't read posts apparently...

Yes if the european update server doesn't respond in a certain time the service is programmed to try other servers incl US ones

Reinstalled twice!

So all sit tight and watch update service. If it does not start the first 5 -10 secs. ABORT!!! and try later...

no it´s a mythic fuckup, goa has nothing to do with the patcher code

it´s mythic that has made the patcher connect to the US servers if it gets timeout from designated ones, it is hardcoded into the programcode and GOA can´t remove it

The same error occurred to me two days ago, but the update.dat trick did wonders...

Only strange thing that happened: in Caledonia the keep already had its doors facing to the Albion portal keep but the gatekeepers and guards in the same position as before! So if I used the gatekeeper closest to the keepwall outside I ported exactly 2 horselengths to the other gatekeeper outside

Some players might have seen me running through walls though.
