Game patched it self with 11.8megs, now my password is invalid?

Hello,

I just loaded the game, it downloaded 11.8 megs and I'm pretty sure patched it self to a new version (gave me patch notes going on about windowed mode).

and now I'm getting a invalid password message, I would try rightnow but the whole web site is down :-(

any ideas?

open up your update.dat with notepad and replace the contents with

Mythic Patch
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat

(IF YOU ARE RUNNING SHROUDED ISLES).

Save the file, and reload the game. Don't try to connect when internet is down etc, it swops over to the US update servers.

I dont have the update details for the normal camelot game,im sure someone else can post it.

Ah more problems, I tried what you said and it now has decided to crash on me... the error mentions update.dat

Edit/update: Turns out you have to repeat the address twice, no more crashing

just says the servers not available, but getting there

My passoword is invalid fix

I thought I was going mad when my client downloaded the latest 1.60 patch, not only once but twice. Up until now I have reinstalled - thanks for the above tip guys, much relief!!

Goa have been extremely poor at responding to this issue - I have heard nothing after a week!

Hello,

To correct this error,you should your update.dat (using notepad for example), and replace everything by :

For DAOC
Mythic Patch
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/camelot/mpatch.dat

For Shrouded Isles
Mythic Patch
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat


This is due to a problem with the patching server. Sorry for the inconvenience.
