Game LD's and sound locks on release

Hiya's , this only started last night , been playing for over a year , also got SI on release , so no idea why this has suddenly started . last few releases have resulted in tremendous lag , followed by a sound lock up and LD . Can also mean I have to reboot the comp too , any idea's will be welcomed , cheers

anything u've plugged into computer thats been unplugged before? installed anythin new? if not then could always run scandisk and check for errors or try defraggin.

Nothing new installed or plugged in , could try the defrag though

Posting for a friend of mine who is not registered who is also have this problem as of last night.

Every time /release was used (quite a bit seeing as we just messing around with new characters) i'd see him disappear off into the horizon, but it would take up to 2 mins before the game would tell him LD.

Not sure whether there is any connection between this and a new graphics card (ATI Radeon 9500 pro i believe) but if you come up with a fix/reason would be good to know!
