Game freezes

so basicly its that the game freezes for a min or two then comes back, repeat after 3 mins or so and it goes on,one time it even shut itself off. i havnt cleaned inside it for dust ever, could thid be that its overheating and cant handle running big programs like daoc with all the dust in there generating heat, do you think cleaning it would solve it?

its also kinda stupid cause there is NO description how to open it and theres no button or anything you can press or pull.. should i smash it open? confused
