Yup is a game console for Kids really which is a damn good thing. To many parents buy PS2's etc for kids not even in their teens and then end up buying 18+ games without realising. At least with Gamecube its relativly kiddy in its title range.

At this price most professionally employeed parents can probably afford to buy one for each kid so no arguing etc.

I have a GameCube :D

True most of the games (e.g Pokemon Colosseum) on GCN do mainly appeal for younger band of gamers but there are still enough games on the system to make it appeal to me.

The new zelda made up for buying a Gamecube imo!

Just got to wait for it to be released.

Gamecube absolutely rocks imo, although some games are 'childlike' in style I think they truly deserve a pat on the back for adopting and trying new things in games design. Viewtiful Joe is just supremely stylish, and Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing are something your unlikely to find on other platforms.

If you have 4 or more friends (some of you might be hard pushed here :p) then its well worth a purchase. Mario Golf, Wario Ware, Mario Party and of course Mario Kart are all great fun multiplayer.

Your loss if you think GC is for kids. Metroid Prime is worth buying a GC for alone.

Bugger. I bought a GC new for 20 quid, if they're now 40 quid it's going to make getting lots more on ebay a challenge. I guess I could keep it :\

Some of the games may look "kiddie" but it doesn't mean that they're not enjoyable. Mario Kart and Smash Brothers are some of the best multiplayer games around.

Just bought a GC on eBay. Planning to pick up a copy of Super Smash Bros Melee sharpish - there were more than a few nights of utter drunken chaos playing the original on the n64. Best multiplayer game ever.

Not seen it myself to confirm it but this article alleges that Index (UK Catalogue shop most often found within or next to Littlewoods stores) are selling the Game Cube for £39.99 and its not a stock clerance its an offer of some sorts. Whether this is perminant or only for a few weeks / months who knows.

It's a stock clearance, Littlewoods (who run the catalogue, index and argos) seem to no longer have GC's listed in any of their catalogues...
