Game Controllers

I just got a Saitek GM2 controller in a vain attempt to improve my CS skills. Is anybody else using one? If so how the hell do I get it working with CS (Game Controller files more than welcome!).

Should I take it back? Whats everybody's thoughts?

Garr joystik My fav combo is the old crusy mouse mat 'very' crusty mat and the old, about 4 years old in design mouse. I would still have the old keyboard but some of the keys borked up and i can't repair them Iv'e repaired the old mouse 4 times allready im still trying to figure out how to some how put a 3rd button on it, i have to get it right though first time because you can't buy them anymore No other mouse works for me but im desperate for a 3rd button

When I started playing Quake I had a gamepad and there just wasnt enough buttons on the damn thing, so I stuck a pile of microswitches on it.

In the end I gave up, the damn thing became a hedgehog !!!

A mate of mine even had a set of pedals hooked up - hehe

sorry i got it wrong i use keyboard+ 5 button mouse + wheel function. choke on that slapnuts.

I think you could be right. I got it going last night and managed a staggering 2 kills for 16 deaths (a first for my CS skills). I unplugged the USB, switched to the keyboard and voila a respectable 10 for 7. My only question though is that the mouse has a four point 'hat' switch in the side, is anybody using one of these to any advantage.

Still then again I could just practice my skillz. Anybody recruiting!
