Galla Raid Lengths

Just a thought, in several of the last Galla raids, several people from my guild joined in. But I know at least one or two left ealy, and why? Because a five hour + galla raid lasts waaaaaaaaay too long. I suggest you make a time limit from the time you leave Necht, like say we're leaving in 3 hours from the time we have left Necht. If you don't complete all your goals in that time, try something different next raid, but a 5 hour raid is sorta ridiculous.

No sense in making a raid that long, some of us have lives outside daoc on the small occation ^^

Need to kill the mobs quicker, simple, people alse need to turn up at the raid in time and do as they are told inside galla, hand items to the holder as soon as they get them.

Well, I guess much of the drops come in the final 1/4 of the raid, clearing easamarch / GSC / Aroon / Final encounter, if you dont get these down then you dont make as many items for the time.

I do agree though, the raids are too long, its a rare group that is still 8 by the time we goto lotto and people always seem to be very eagre to release once we get to Aroon or so.

Wonder if its possible to do two raids back to back, one for the first bit of the dungeon, then a lotto, then a chance to reform groups, loose and pickup new members and return for the last few bosses?

When I run 1fg focus pull grps we can clear the dungeon in 7 hours, which may seem long but 60 people should do it at least twice as fast as 8 people.

Problem is with zerg raids, is LDs, AFKs and people just not listening.

i remember in talivars/Reno raid they splitted the zerg and did a few mobs at the same time to speed things up.

Hib/Pryd has 2 raid leaders, each clearing a part of the dungeon and they meet somewhere to take on the harder bosses. Really speeds things up

Well you could start with leaving in Necht in time and not waiting for 30-45mins for a few people that are still on the way from Ligen or something.

If the leader states the raid starts at let's say 7pm, the zerg should leave Necht at 7pm.. too bad for the people that aren't there yet, they'll be on time next raid

Please for teh love of god can we kill the Water Primal after Eas. Doesnt take much longer to do and has the chance to drop items none of the other regular mobs we kill. Kinda sucks after a 6hr raid to stop at Eas cause perhaps 1 Fang and Stinger dropped :/

The amount of ppl isent the problem.. the AFK ppl is the problem.. alot of ppl seems to go afk when they get inside Galla with a lotto in their minds..

Yep annoys the hell out of me, its the mind set nowadays though, afk exping, afk raids, what next maybe we will see afk RvR

Yep this happened loads at last nights raid. I swear we were fighting stuff and there were at least 10 people afk at one point thats a quarter of the raid ffs!
