There is a picture of him post-capture apparently, in blood-stained clothes with blood on his face.

AFP has obtained a mobile phone image apparently of Col Gadadfi during his arrest. The picture shows a man who bears a strong resemblance to Gaddafi wearing blood-soaked clothing and with blood across his face. However the authenticity of the image has not been verified.

Saddam was captured by the Americans, but he wasn't tried and executed by them ,which was Scouse's point. Confusion Over Circumstances Of Gaddafi's Death After Graphic Video Of Body Broadcast

There's a pic in the headline that is being carried by most media around the world. The one of him looking bloody and empty-eyed.
There's a 33sec video clip at the bottom of the post which apparently shows a naked person who is dead who looks a lot like Gaddafi.

The first thing I thought when I saw the headline was "Is this so he can slip away quietly?" Once I checked a number of sources, it seems he was backed into a drain.

Let's all remember him for that. Dragged from a drain with no-one to help or protect him from a crowd of people who want to lynch him.
I'd call that natural justice.
