lo Bigfoot,

Glad to see the league is back up and running again . Have missed it on Thursday nights.

Whats the story with the maps though?. I thought we were going to see some new ones or customs this time. I cant believe DM7 is still on the list. Are people not sick of that map yet?

Some of the maps listed also will not cope very well if you happen to get a full turnout in any of the divisions. 13 players might just turn it into a series of "megagames" !

BTW I did notice that DM14 has TMP beside it, & that there is a TBC also.

Considering the number of players who have never played in this or other BW Leagues (and the high number of unclanned players) i didn't feel it was suitable to bring in custom maps.

I appreciate it may get "busy" on certain maps we have picked, although we've avoided really tight maps and i think all of them will cope with 12/13 players. I however dont anticipate full turnouts, because of the nature of the league that will never really happen.

The TBC may be one of the BFG maps, i'm currently discussing with athie whether or not we want to go down that route =)

lo Another thing Bigfoot,

Any chance of turning off self Damage as well (guess who has been playing too much RA3 )

I know this will never happen but since RA3 came out its all I've really played => went back and tried FFA last night for the first time in ages and found 2 things

1) It seemed really slow ; I dont know if this is because the physics are different (I dont think they are), but rather that peeps not r/jing all over the place. Movement seems much slower when u dont have this facility

2) I must have blown myself up 8 times in one round trying to r/j - god it will take some adjusting to actually having to run to awkward spots!! The r/j really is the lazy mans friend

LOL...join the club. The reason this happens is that you're a two fingered typist. Most of us can get up to a fair old rate with two fingers, but you then hit the 'wall' where you're thinking faster than you can type. Basically, your hands are getting out of synch with your brain.

I'm learning to touch-type, with the help of good old Mavis Beacon. I figure this will also help me with my ingame keyboard control (yep, I'm an arrow key user!).
