with 1.62 close at hand and /level 30 becoming a serious possiblility for hibernians on excalibur, i would ask all members of the realm of Hibernia to reserve a slot for a Mentalist, lvl to 40+ spec mana and log them at dagda and leave them there, this will provide lots of Doting and with MR should provide a quick defense, not to mention the pettie heals so please, aid the realm and invest in a Mana ment with 1.62, thank you. :)

Edit: and of course healers and pbaoers would also be nice in defense also :)

funnily enough i made me a animist today and will /lvl him to what ever 20 or 30 then get him to 40 and sit him at dagda..
and i know 2 mates who are doing the same


oh and a portal from domnan to dc would help as damn that horse is slow to dc :p

i tell ya the shout went up "rr get to dagda" everyone said right... by the time they got to dc and ran to dagda mids had nearly done it all =)

Can't see /level 30 being a serious possibilty for hib, servers way too populated. But love the idea of a keep full of mad ment dotters ready for action whenever the need arises :)

well goa stated they would be reviewing each realm aswell as servers entire, im sure they'll see hib are abit lower than mid and alb atm so /level 30 may happen, if it doesnt, just means a little more effort wil have to go into getting em to 40, still shouldnt be too difficult so if we only get /level 20, i hope it wont dicourage members of the realm to get that defensive character to a lvl in which he can do some serious damage and have them ready at dagda to defend the relics

I was of the same opinion until yesterday when it became glaringly obvious that Hib/Exc is at a pretty significant population disadvantage.

I think animists are better in defense than mana ments (coz specline dots don't stack :( ), but a good mix of the two should be great

got 1 of each on the way already :)

hib isnt underpopulated, alb/mid are overpopulated :)

i might xp a menta because, but i hope the /level will give a boost to 40+ groups or else it isn't really worth it to even get to only 40 :\

we still have 2 :)

and Mid won't hold onto pwr for long because they care more about str imo, Alb don't seem interested in pwr at all either

GOA disagrees, they think our server isn't populated enough, at least that's what they use as an excuse to not give us a third english server.

Animists are best imo for 3 reasons.

1. Get a stealther to ground target a nice spot outside and /groundassist him. Get the stealther to keep moving his ground target in a nice arc around the doors and many animists can cast an arc of pets that will truly fook up the enemy force and get some good damage behind the enemy lines (healers, resting people etc)

2. 20 animists can completely fill the courtyard. 30 animists can completely fill the courtyard and upper battlements. Imagine 70 or so pets all nuking happily away at anyone coming inside the gate. Add on top of that 10 PBAoE'ers, 10 dotters and we've got a secure keep.

3. Animists can send in AoE bombers to give good AoE DD damage (when not bloody bugged) which would supppliment the dropped 'shrooms.

Me and a guildie got our mana ments to 50 over the weekend, same spec, 46 mana / 28 mind / 4 light - great at keep attack & defence and perfect for Dagda.

That spec grants an 83 aoedot that stacks with an 87 baseline dot, L25 spec heals that heal ~350 a shot, manaregen 5, best HoT, 44 second mezz, mezz heal, plus the baseline 9 second stun and a 179DD. Pretty sweet for long duration battles imo ;)

1. You cant cast shrooms without los - except the controlled one until next patch so groundassist wont help much

2. Guess what one or 2 aedots will do to them? okok they must cast them first so it might help a bit and provide us with great lag.
Ohh and they get mezzed very easy too :/

3. As long as bomberpathing isnt fixed you cant nuke much.

my druid is logged in dagda, if mids/albs are kind enough to inform me 24 hours on before i promise i will be there to defend:)
