tbh, that second one was probably caused by the same algorithm running. theres no such thing as a genuinely random number with computers.. but i doubt Mythic are about to release their code for generating them ^^. i guess wherever the algorithm gets its "random" component from was identical on your two PCs

The random number is generated with you computers timer To get the same number you need to have the timer at exactly the same point (i.e. 1/100 of a second) and yet again the algorithm would be a 1/10000

i seriously doubt mythics random number generator uses solely your computers clock to calculate, else hundreds of /random exploits would be available

most random stuff like daoc, and "funny web sites" as well use the micro time on your comp, which is 1/100 of the second.

if you can hack that one, its fair to get you a key at ml3 imo ;>

My funniest roll was when I was on a Sidi raid, rolled for drops and haven't won any, and the last drop was a red dye, a cleric and me was rolling for, cleric rolled 8, I was happy that at least I win something, rolled, 6 \o/

surely the chance of someone rolling a 94 once you have a 94 is simply 1/100 ? the fact a previous roll resulted in the same number shouldnt affect the odds of the 2nd ?

well if you want to think of it like that, the laws set in place by the Marquis de Laplace (french scientist, stated all things in the universe are pre-determined) state that it has a 100% chance of happening at that statistics are simply a tool for mathmatical use, such as the concept of infinity.
