Fun RvR day

Bored with the usual Emain zerg?

Don't fancy going to Odin's to join the mini-zergs there?

Here's a silly idea for a fun RvR day.

Location - Hadrian's Wall (very few people go there)

Rules of Engagement

1 - No more than 4 people per group
2 - No Buffbots
3 - No 'assisting' if you see a fight in progress
4 - No picking off the injured
5 - Soloers are to be left to find and fight other soloers
6 - No PK/Beno camping

Mids start at their PK, Hibs at theirs and Albs at Beno.

Level 40 rezzers who would like some RPs can be rez crews if they wish. They don't wear armor so are easily spottable and are allowed the freedom of the battleground, so therefore people don't have to mess about porting/running to get back into the battle.

Another idea is to get Alchemists to set up shop in the PKs to sell potions etc but then it would be difficult to know who was buffed etc by a buffbot and not a potion.

I guess some people would say this is RP farming but anything is better than the endless zerg cycle which is ruining the game for a great many people.

It would also show who the pussies are!!

PS add suggestions for rules of engagement and suggestions for a date.

well it would be great if it happened but doubt it will..who knows though maybe hadrians could be made into a nice rvr arena

another rule of engagement : soloers are left to fight other soloers, meeting area for 1v1 inter realm duels could be ruined villa

best thing to do really is to move the hole zerg to Hadrian, if we do so albs wont be able to run around in 10 fgs becouse 70% of them will go afk while beeing stuck to Outlaw(we all know your the zerg leader etc etc etc loose stick, get killed by aggro mobs and even if they dont die to mobs, most of them dont know their way around alb frontier so there would be a very small chance for them to ever get to Hadrians

i came with a fg - roamed for a couple hours, saw buggerall, helped retake beno - still nowt - suicided mtk.

was looking forward to HW scraps too, especially litlle ones around the villa

HW awarness day was good idea lox - shame no-one bothered to turn up

Best way to get action in Hadriens.... just bloody port there ! Had some nice fights at MMG yesterday with a fairly regular bunch of mids and hibs coming for fights so it does happen. But you wont see it if you don't come.

i used to go quite a lot solo pala end+sprint+hastners style.... sometimes was fun sometimes all way there and splatted by a fg - funneh

will give it some more tries with ally grp tho, it's nice there

I thought you took the whole alb zerg there?

This isn't about moving the zerg, moving the RvR arena, it's about trying to have a laugh. Yes there will be people who try and spoil the fun, there is in IRL, but it seems like all the naysayers just wanna cower under their rocks, whine about the zerg and blame everyone else for the state of RvR cos they don't have the balls to try something different.

Well ofc u won't, none of what I've written is what you intended with your Hadrian's idea. All you wanted to do was move the zerg warfare from one zone to another, which isn't a bad idea in itself.

The trouble is that everyone is tired of zergs, where the only reason you win is if u have superior numbers. This idea is about trying to promote the use of skill and tactics, simply because with max 4 people you can't ever get a 'balanced' group.

Actually what I was trying to do was spread the zerg over emain, odin's and hw thus destroying it, however, I thought if for one day everyone zerged hw people would like it thus more people would RvR there in the future.

Took your advice, ported in solo.

Had 2 good fights 1 v 1 (lost both - damn mages)

Then got steamrollered by FG of albs.

Whats the point?
