According to Matt Frior over at the Camelot Herald, Mythic is releasing 5 new classes with the upcoming 'Catacombs' expansion. Albion will receive one new class, while Midgard and Hibernia will receive two each. The reason for this is two-fold:

"the first is is to make up for the fact that Albion has one more class than Hibernia and two more than Midgard. Another reason is to motivate people to start new characters in Realms other than Albion to smooth out the population imbalances a little."

pfft albs always whine they have too many classes and skills spread out

so if alb get 2 new classes they will have skills that are useless on their own but work well with the other new class? or rather have 1 new class with lots of new skills?

wonder what they will be though, new stealther class for mid and hib perhaps?

probably will be casters or something though

hib got theugist version its called the animist

mid will probbaly get another tank or maybe a support caster or maybe another proper healer (aka not a crowdcontrolling insta win class we all know healers are )

Hib will get the following

Pond Slime. Unable to do anything but whine and after being killed by anything will automatically generate a whine thread on vn regarding how gimped they are.

Tree bark. Will follow your realm mates leeching rps from a 30000 radius aoe, is unable to do anything unless it involves dying in 1 hit to anything within the 30000 aoe radius.

Be aware that hib classes will take at least 3 years to be completed by which time everyone will have left.

Im guessing mid will get 2 of the 3 following...
1. Caster with petcharm
2. Stealther
3. A petspammingclass


Hib I think may get 2 of the following
1. New lighttank
2. Stealther
3. A caster, not because they need it but because its probable

Alb will probably get something in the disciple baseclass so thinking caster.
Or a new stealther who has a bow and can fly

i wreckon mid will get a hybrid healer and another caster, though a stealther would b nice. imo give hibs a tank and another class

Well I'd rather have clerics get something useful instead of smite so we can run around with 3-4 healers like hib/mid, then again I guess I shouldn't complain about albion with em doin ok with caster fotm crap etc -.-

Think albion will get another gimped hybrid class, mids/hibs stealther and ehr k... I'm no good at predicting

This is supposedly Mythics grand solution to the population issues which rose up with New Frontiers. Because when all the new people come with Catacombs they will know that Infact because Albion only has 1 new class and Mid/Hib have 2 they'll... oh wait... they'll be new, so they won't know which classes are the new ones and which arn't... and ummm...

Albion will get a stealther in plate (with safe fall and climb walls) that has heals just to make sure the stealth war is balanced..

Seriously i think mid and hib will get a stealther class and 1 more class. alb will get some random non stealther class... but the way mythic been putting the game last patches my first sentance could well be the truth..

they'll probably give alb a non-cc'able, non-ns'able, insta nuking, healer pets, baod +twf class! To be very sure no one would be able to kill it, or even stop it from pressing the same button over and over... or a light tank that is in every point better than any other light tank

But seriously they'll probably mess it up again like with the 2 extra classes (necro/reaver, ani/vw, bd/sav). There will be one realm getting the overpowered ones and will keep them in the too-overpowered state for too long/forever in Euro. Adding new classes will imo change not a lot, except some overpowered ones. The problem is not the usual classes, its the base of a group (ie: cleric-healer). The problem seems totally different percieved Euro-US atm. There they have zerg rules all, euro still fg stuff. Fg's considered, some realms are easier to do well than others, zerg doesnt really matter.

Except if they would put key abilities on those new classes, ie new crowd control class

Could be for mid and alb a new healing class, stealther for hib and mid, and something else for hib, prolly another caster with spec lifedrain or so.
