Indeed, there is no damn way I would stand in Israel's corner after the things they have done in the last 5 years. I don't in anyway condone the things that have been done to Israel BUT they are a recognised nation and should act like it. Killing civilians are not the actions of the civilised nation.

This whole situation is massively volatile.

Islamic and Arabic states are itching for an excuse to launch a full-scale attack on Israel.

This attack on civilians could tip the balance.

What I will say is this: If any country launches chemical weapons on Israeli soil, Israel WILL retaliate with NUCLEAR WEAPONS. Fact. They've stated it openly and on the record. Its no secret.

If you wanna blame someone, blame religion itself.

Everyone immediately condems Israel. Many people want to see Israel annihilated from the map.

Are people forgetting the Holocaust ? What about terrorists who committed 9-11, 7-7, to name but two atrocities ? What about the 38 years the Palestinians have been bombing and killing innocent civilians on Israeli soil ?

This never would have happened if the kidnapped Israeli soldiers were returned as originally requested.

Actually the Jews didn't steal it, they bought most of it, then "persuaded" the british to give them the rest of the land after WW2.

However, there is still no excuse for acting how they are - you just can't act like that in this day and age, but realistically there is little difference between whats happened in the middle east, and what happened when the UK and US invaded Iraq.

Its a fucked up situation and no mistake.

To look on the bright side though, if you watched Horizon last night, the effects of low level radiation aren't actually as bad as previously though, so we might all survivie the nuclear winter anyhow

The EU, France, and Russia refer to "disproportionate" use of force by Israel. All agree on maintaining the stability of Lebanon's sovereignty. Interesting that Russia seems to be the only one advising that both sides need to back down to avoid war. Germany alligns themselves to the Israeli cause.

Unforunately, in Israel, like in so many other places, people get more votes from warlike stances than peacemaking.

However frustrating it is in Israel, though, capturing miltiary personnel cannot be justification for bombing civilians. Capturing military personnel is an act of war, bombing civilians is terrorism.

Don't know how this one will end, but it's worrying.
