Just a coupla questions.
My motherboard is an Asus A7V-266 (KT266 obviously) with an Athlon 2400+ (2 Ghz - 133 x 15) and 512 meg of PC2100 RAM.
I currently run this at 134 x 16.5 giving 2.22 Ghz (or somewhere between a 2700+ and 2800+).
I'm wondering is it possible to purchase PC2700 RAM and run a multiplier of 12 and a FSB of 166 (giving a 2400+ but with DDR333 instead of DDR266)? I know it's only a KT266 chipset, but i've gone into the BIOS and the FSB goes right the way up to 227 Mhz (PCI at 57 MHz) and i can indeed set the FSB to 166.
In addition, do 333 motherboards have a different FSB to PCI ratios (as in 166/33)? because if i run a ratio of 166/42 - won't this have probs with devices on the PCI bus?
Cheers
