Having a day off work, no users, no "it just broke all on it's own" when you turn up and see thier blatantly fooked PCs.

Then the girlfriend giving you her PC to fix, which is 7 years old and has the processor power of your wrist watch. Then asking for you to "put" XP on it.

Anyone got a XP CD and selotape? :eek7:

... Wanting to smoke, but somehow the cigarettes don't taste good anymore. I mean, it's not that I wanted to quit smoking (not that I mind being done with those cigarettes) but just from one day onto the next it just don't taste me anymore, and now I'm rehabbing cold-turkey forced by my own body :'( and I'm definately not relaxed atm...

guess I'll have to buy some nicotine patches to slowly lower the nicotine in my body or something... ahwell, maybe it's for the best :D

Lol I always do that, ring the helpdesk with 'it just wouldn't boot up this morning'

When the IT guy arrives I point him to the general area of the registry I was trying to modify.
And we both keep shmuck.

Sorry for those in helpdesk jobs but....

I like to start my day by calling random helpdesks and asking things like:

"Excuse me, emm, excuse me...sir..."
HD: "Yes...?
"Umm...i think...i think there's something wrong with my computer..."
HD: What's happening?
"It's ...umm...smoking."
HD: What?
"Smoke is oming out of it and the screen isn't showing paint correctly."
HD: Your computer is off right?!
"No."
HD: Well turn it off!
"Ok....ummm....It won't."
HD: What?!
"It won't turn off. There's an orange haze inside it though. I think it's fire. That can't be good for the heat can it?"
HD: Look. Be calm. Just reach behind the computer and flick the masterswitch.
"Won't that turn off the computer?"
HD: YES!!
"Ok."
HD: Well...?
"It's still on. It must be living it's own life like that computer thing in star trek episode 39420.2385y where captain picard faced an evil..."
HD: Listen!!
"Yes?"
HD: Pull out the power cord.
"The what?"
HD: The line that goes from your computer to the power outlet!
"Oooh...pull it where?"
HD: Pull it out of the computer!
"Ok. Done! Yei!"
HD: ?
"The computer shut down. Now i have to call the fire department. I think i can make it past that burning hall of clothes and bookshelves ok...thank you!"
HD: Wa
