If you are offline and have your ship in space there is no one to control it (you), thus should it be attacked you will wake up and find yourself in a pod with your ship destroyed....if thats what you're asking.

danm!

Embattle: that was the second subject thankx! so howcome ccp says we can play the game both on&offline?? if i go from station A to station B while offline you wont be seeing me right? & what if i go online while in midspace? i reapear out of nowhere?? is there someplace where these details are explained? after all you *are* suposed to be able to play the game offline to some extent right?

as for the first subject, danm men! are you people trying to tell me that no one in here has ever heard of Frontier by David Braben?? Jesus!! I could be wrong but Eve & Frontier are very much alike!! well... just forget the online part... and the graphics... its from 1985... the game is only 700KBytes men, for crying out loud, you cant expect much!... I used to exit the space station, aim for the nearest planet, shut down the engines, set an angle of atack, engage bosters & off he goes trying to slingshot (again...) through the higher atmosfere... :)))

The online/offline is the skill training facility; even when you are offline you can train a skill. Just choose one that takes a while and as you are tucked up in bed you are still training. :)

Going offline while in space rather than in a station can be a bit dangerous - depends on what security status the region you do it is - meself I prefer to dock in station before logging as it makes life a bit easier, would hate to lose my nice Rupture cruiser and it's components just cos I was feeling lazy.

And if you decide to cancel your sub for a while be sure to set a skill that takes longtime to train. It keeps on training after your subs runs out and until its finished.
