Rams
There are multiple levels of Rams that have an extremely short range. Each ram allows for multiple operators from 2 - 12 players depending on the ram type. The more players that are helping with a ram, the more damage it does to its target. Rams are usable against multiple targets but are especially effective against gates. There is only room for one ram to attack a gate at a time. Rams help to shield the operators from the damaging effects of Boiling Oil.

i like it :) min 2 to use a ram and u can only use 1 ram at time on a gate :)

This looks really interesting.

The boiling oil looks like being one of the biggest giggles ever but deformable keeps also look like a hoot. The gate bottleneck will no longer completely exist. It really looks like the tactical options for attacking and defending keeps are going to increase big time. With the hook points idea and stuff you can buy in the keep it looks like it will be easier for tanks to find more to do in a siege.

It just keeps looking better and better :)

Can't wait to open my soup kitchen for business above a gate :D

D'you reckon cayenne for luris or go with the cajun spices?

Have to say, im usualy sceptical about such huge changes to the game, but this latest thing about siege weapons sound very nice.

And the keeps look amazing!

Doesn't seem like too much of a change to be honest, I mean the ram thing will be interesting... and the ammo thing is definatly a good idea - but overall it doesn't seem to be too much different from the current seige system (as in what the weapons do atleast)

Still, can't really complain - the seige weapon system was pretty good anyway. And being able to move stuff around will finally save people those embarressing moments when they setup a ram too far away from the door and its useless :D

i really like the idea of the new rams, although it says only 1 ram per dor, the more people using it the more powerful the strikes are., Probably find that with all 12 people swinging away will be like having 3 siege rams on the door.

I would of liked to see a few more siege items such as dragon teeth, shield walls, wooden barricades (to quickly repair/reinforce doors with) and of course grapling hooks, ladders and siege towers.

There will be plenty of changes - multiple attackpoints (walls and gates), more utility and options for siege engines, and the option of cutting of enemy reiforcements by capturing towers (prevents teleportation to/from a keep) and holding chokepoints around the map etc.

oh btw, first pic of the new towers that ive seen:

New Frontiers looks like a winner to me :)

This is gonna be alot of fun :D

I just hope they make it worthwhile to attack defend keeps, cos the novelty of new keeps will ware off...like give us rls for taking a keep and defending one for every half hour of fighting...

dunno see what they come up with :D

Jesus bloody christ!

And also, firing Boiling oil will be funny to watch, just hope to god they make it mark the keep or something for a short while and make it steam. :D
:eek2:

OH MY GOD, want, want want!

i think it's going to make for interesting keep battles with hookpoints for siege weapons inside and the ability to trash walls

Finally keep sieges are becoming what they should have always been... Or so I hope.

Keep sieges use to be fun, or can be, but only if you happen to have a load of people at a merchant keep when it gets attack. Mythic pritty much killed off sieges when they changed them. Corps summoner where aother badly though out idea, people only abuse them for farming RP. I hope Myithic take them out of Frontiers and replace them with corps bind stone so you have to at least get to the keep to set your bind up.
