I love how easy the xbox is now with the NXE (can you still call it that?) to media share, it finds PCs so much easier now, When i go to movie library now i can see 2 Pcs and a laptop on my network

Windows media center does not let me share files from my networked harddrive, therefor my 360 is useless for this task.

This program lets me via my ps3, it also lets me output audio at a higher bitrate and in LPCM.

I use twonky on my nas box that shares via upnp to the ps3 and xbox without the pc being on

Have you manually allowed the network drive through Media player?

Library drop down - add to library click advanced then navigate to the folder(s) you want

Sorry but the 360 and any MS software solution is not as easy as using a 3rd party solution and either the XBOX or the PS3. That is a fact.

Great idea! Except Media player is the work of Satan, and can;t read FLAC's, which is God's own way of encoding music. Epic fail as far as I'm concerned, and why I'd rather contract AIDS than use Media Player. The program in that thread converts my FLAC's to PCM, so I don;t lose any quality whatsoever.

But then again, quality and Microsoft are mutually exclusive, so meh.

oh, like so! nah, haven't encountered it, as I mostly listen to my own media on that. the music playing though the client is still a new fad for me
