'Friendly Fire' on 56k only cs server

Dear YOU,

As a 'long-time' player of the Tom Cruise series of Realistic Tactical First Person Shooter games I have nothing against 'friendly fire' PER SE.

I merely question the Logic of enabling it on a server where your teammates are prone to WARPING in front of you while you are firing you're gun.

friendly fire is good, but not on a 56k server.
On 56k, shooting before thinking is required sometimes.

Friendly fire OWNS! Not only does it make the game more realistic and force you to be more careful, if one of your teammates is being a jackass you can make m pay >=)

Only bad thing is that its on a 56k server. The lag will prolly cause alotta accidental friendly fire

I would get ISDN but I spend 60% of the year at uni so it's a fair bit of money wasted.
So you're thinking: "if he's at uni he's got JANET"
Well the uni i'm at atm does but doesn't give us access
but hopefully next year i'll be at Essex and have acces to JANET
So, for the next two years I'm stuck with 56k.

(And BT have no plans whatsoever to put ADSL in our exchange )

Last time I played on BW (07) with FF on - I was TKed twice on the same map. Plus at the beginning of every round, some morons like to shoot their teammates and then say 'soz' or 'didn't know FF was on'.

Some of us live in areas where Broadband or ISDN just isnt available, and not likley to be in the next few years.

It was actually left on by accident when the servers moved around. Some people have actually said they preferred it, some have compained. We'll have a look.

Normally yes - its different playing on a FF server. Best thing is when someone on the opposing team shoots his own players (saves us from doing it)

does get strange on the 56k. Was playing prodigy the other day and lagged out at the end of the tunnel. I could see what was happening about me, but couldnt move/jump/control my player.

When I spawned (and immediately died) it turned out that I had been firing over and over - had 3 headshots (unfortunately of my own team who had ran in front of me)

Thankfully, others had seen me lagging so I wasnt kicked off.
