In order to balance the risks for each realm, the notion of "underpopulated" realms appears. These realms benefit from a few advantages, principally a reduction of the purchase costs of the hookpoints and the maintenance of the keeps.
Every month the list of the underpopulated realms will be updated on each server. When the servers are balanced, no realm benefits from this advantage. For the opening of New Frontiers, these balanced servers are Logres, Carnac & Ys. As for the other servers, the underpopulated realms are :

Avalon : Hibernia
Lyonesse : Midgard-Hibernia
Dartmoor : Hibernia
Brocéliande : Midgard
Orcanie : Midgard
Excalibur : Midgard
Prydwen : Hibernia
Stonehenge : Hibernia

I thought hibs had the least amount of players on excalibur

A very silly comment, ill explain..

This bonus affects the bp cost of keep stuff, its not an issue for 1337 hib gank squads, their guilds have millions of bps already. You wouldnt see any effect on them whoever is the underdog.

Who it hurts are the small and underpowered guilds and players who would have benefited from this bonus. Better to give it to no one than give it to the realm thats clearly 2nd on stats.

You were many to point out an error in the Friday news concerning the Underdog Realm status for Excalibur. We had incorrectly printed Midgard as the realm that would receive underdog bonuses when the real recipient is actually Hibernia.

Thank you for pointing this out to us and the Friday news has been updated accordingly
