Friday, news day.
[2002-9-08]

Here comes the end of a tough week. The new version of the site is online, the 'Guilds' module of the chronicles has been installed, and finally the 1.49 version is now live on all servers. It's time to see what is going to happen in the next few days.

Network optimisation

As you know, we patched to version 1.49 while at the same time moving the entirety of the servers to a more suitable network room. The moving went smoothly, as well as the patching. The technical team is now working on optimising the different part of our network platform so that the diverse lags observed these last today disappear.

Chronicles :

Research and sorting functions will be added next week to the guilds module of the Chronicles. You will be able to conduct researches by guild names, and sort the different members by different criteria. We are also planning to install a last connexion indicator, enabling anyone to know who is playing or not in his guild. Guild informations (email and url) are now clickable. By the way, we now automatically add the http:// to the urls, make sure that your guild's is correctly written (for example www.camelot-europe.com).

The next module of the Chronicles will be dedicated to the players, and will enable to have an overview of a realm or a server (player with the most RPs, best crafters…). This module should be available in September. Meanwhile we will provide you next week with the xml files used for the Chronicles, as well as a short user guide. Guild and fan sites will thus be able to propose their own version of the Chronicles.

Corrections :

We will do an update in the middle of next week to correct the mistakes detected in 1.49. We will tell you at the beginning of next week the date and hour of the intervention.

Next version :

The translation of 1.50 is now over, however its installation on Gorre is a little delayed, Mythic being working on an international version of the DAoC clients, which will ensure better compatibility between all versions. As soon as the new client file is ready, 1.50 will be installed on Gorre. More information as soon as possible.

How come ???
Too lazy to do it now ? I'd like to know why we have to wait another month to get all the features.

We almost had to wait 1 month & a half for the chronicles, I think GOA should at least make an effort now to enable all the features.

Well, let's see how the Chronicles will be improved next week, they showed us they could make a good job (... but still disappoint me :( )

Because that kind of functionality doesn't magically appear when you snap your fingers. They are working on it, so it will come when it's done. Nothing to do with lazy.

Get a grip.

Nice to hear that 1.50 translation is done and we just got 1.49 :D
GOA seems to have picked up their pace, nice in my humble opinion. Too bad they are making some new client because otherwise we'd get 1.50 very soon
Oh well... nice to hear they are busy working :)

Sorry but GOA only needs to use mythic stuff and make it work for euro servers.

The delay to get the new chronicles was because mythic tools were not working, ok...

They said chronicles were in top priority, but they don't give us any reason to wait another month.

Maybe they lost the 13-years old kid that made the design for the new webpage :) :p :D
