Making a bm friar and think im going to spec it 44 rejuv 49 enhance rest parry and use the champion lvl fighter styles and bm styles. was just wondering if friars can use phoebus harp, croc tear ring, if they get dex or str version of battler and if maybe someone already made a template for that spec?

anyone have any suggestions on what weapons to use? the new champ weapon and battler seems like a good combo with the 35% HoT and 10% abs buff but malice and battler might work too or maybe malice/battler/champ weapon and SotM for the hp buff charge?

Rejuv on a friar seem like a good combo, but its not, its actually a pile of crap. The Hot is as much use as a chocolate fireguard in an arsonists house, it last for 15s, cant be used in combat. your better off giving your self a small heal as it will be quicker. Until mythic change the friar Rejuve line it is about as appealing as elbeek with a tube of deep heat.

go 44 staff.. enough said....

a BM (BG) friar is better off doing backup healing tbh.
A friar with 44 staff will just end up running assist train BM styles and when your casters need a BG you're not there in time. When doing heals you'll find yourself not that far away from the ones needing a BG.

Btw if you have 2 BG's in the group, pally and friar, tell the pally to run after assist trains and let the BG'ing be done by the friar. Imo its no use having a pally just wait for incoming tanks and do nothing but just stand there. Rather have a friar just stand there and heal while waiting :)

My spec's 33 rejuv, 29staff, 49enh. Never bothered with the HoT, rather be able to spam some BM staffed styles if I get a chance.

My template

From what I've heard the CL styles are going to be miserable damage compared to even a low spec in any weapon line, same idea as DDs etc, they're just meant for a bit of backup melee from those who couldn't otherwise do it, and interrupts etc. If you're not after damage this won't matter ofc.

Hmm Clerics as the new Alb main tank?
Unshearable, selfhealing, DPS melee buff and damage add, yum.
Hope we can also equipt Polearms (as they say in DR you can equipt every weapon) then just cast stun and do some Pole damage :)

If it's the one on VN it's a RR9 cleric using adrenaline rush - not a style iirc.

my rr3 cleric can do 450 with adrenaline rush and melee buff in enhance at the moment on cloth wearers, about 400 on leather.

The CL styles do a lot less damage than AR though - they're really not that great. Still it's better than nowt :)

it#s only baseline weapons you can equip - i.e. slash/crush/thrust. No advanced weapons (so no whips for all you kinky types).

BM styles remove the need to spec staff completely.
Go rejuv imo.

As for rolling a cleric, clerics don't get bodyguard, heat/cold/matter resist or access to BM styles, it's a completely different class.

Then no need to compare, theres pro's and conns to every class. Personally would never have a group with a rej friar until the HoT is fixed anyhow and I'm not the only out there that feels this way. Specc any way you want its ur char, enjoy the game but dont expect to be anywhere near used as sort after as you may of thaught a rej friar in RvR would be ;)
