When switching to mace/small shield, some cast speed and heal bonus, and +rejuv. Star Drop for buffing.

Handy RvR abilities like EoY rezz, Ceremonial Bracer mezz block, Harpy Feather Cloak disarm, stealth lore etc NOT a must. Maddening Scalars (and other items with similar proc) NOT an option due to proc overriding self abs buff.

MUST include Tartaros Gift and Crown of Zahur.

Spent ages trying to get something like this. Always end up madly overcapping either dex, or melee resists, and because of this, not being able to get close enough to the setup I want due to wasted util. Maybe I'm just too stuck up on Cyclone Bracer and Bracer of Silent Oblivion heh.

How hard the items are to get not really important, though I'd like to avoid too many Astral stuffs etc.

Anyways, any help appreciated, and if I see a solution I really like, I'll reward it with a couple plat on alb/pryd or mid/excal.

Yeah, I sorta figured. I just think most of my RvR time will be spent sitting on a treb, and might as well have good solo/duo farming setup then. Unless someone wants me to take ST bot role in a regular reaver bomb group, in which case I'll make some drastic changes to the requirements for the template, but that hardly seems likely .

So appreciate your contribution, but I've looked at tons of friar templates now, none of them matching what I want, which is why I was pretty specific in my original post.

Seeing how much stuff some people can cram into a friar template, the tiny bit I want shouldn't be too hard (but damned if I can figure it out ). Especially with no requirements for EoY, Ceremonial Bracer etc.

Suggestions for shield/mace combo for healing mode is also welcome btw

This is what I'm working with right now. As you can see, the cloak is not really ideal, and the torso only really needs 16 con to cap, but that'd leave it at 36 imbue which feels like kind of a waste (so does the useless 4 con though).

Regardless, I've managed almost everything I set out to do. Would have loved some more AF, and still hoping this can be done by replacing the cloak with one more suited, and redoing the SC bits.

Any comments, tweaks, or ideas for a better cloak would be welcome .

uhm, u might wanna rethink what u want.. since friars are mostly bgbot/grapple bot, so getting a more hps based template might be more ideal

Firstly, I'm not in an RvR guild.

Secondly, if I planned on playing this char seriously in RvR, I would be looking at a very different template, at the very least including EoY, and probably Healer's Embrace. I would probably also spec higher than 6 rejuv - no need for 7 for cure because:

Thirdly, I'm going perfector, not battlemaster, for several reasons, including the fact that RvR will take place on two sides of a wall mainly for a while. And solo/duo farming. And helping guildies and friends with arty/ml.

I knew exactly what I wanted on my template before I even started to make it. Because it suits how I'll be playing my friar, at least until 1.72, and I've managed to get almost everything on there.

That being said, I would definately prefer being asked to play ST/bg/grapple bot and backup healer/assist tank for a set/regular reaver bomb group. But seeing as our only active reaver in guild is playing other chars now mainly, and seeing as we are not an RvR focused guild, the chances of that happening are pretty slim. Even if some guild reaver bomb group or whatever needed a friar "from the outside", they'd be better off picking a higher rr one.

In other words, I've given good thought to what bonuses are on that template, because it suits how I'll be playing that char.

I would like to get more ToA bonuses, and less wasted dex and con though. Gogo make suggestion for how to do this please .

And still need to find either a mace or small shield with a bunch of heal% and/or cast speed on it, could use help with that also .

The Scaly Mantle only has 39 usable util for me. It -must- be possible to find one that has higher, distributed among the top stats, and maybe even with a bit of one of the bottom ones.

Maybe I should start looking for RoG cloaks.. But usually lowish qual, so breaks easily. Guess it doesn't matter if it doesn't have any +skill though.

Maybe I'm just annoyed at paying plat for an item I only get 39 util from hehe. But I think it's more that I'd like more ToA bonuses .

Come on, someone tell me what piece of this puzzle it is I'm missing. Please!
