Seriously thinking bout going Friar on PvP

Been doing some Item Searching and used Drunken Friar a lot, seems to me the albion items suitable for friars are pure wank.

The epics ONLY caps Crush and over caps Spirit, no other resists are awarded, wtf???

I seem to be short on Con and Dex and Qui with my setup and the resists are appaling.

can some of the 50 Friars in Epic please comment on their setup?

Its true, friar epic is pants. I only wear a few choice peices over the dropped items I had already, my resists are a joke as I am forever needing items with specific things...ie dex and con/hp.

But yes we will get a dex/qui buff next patch which should be nice, however I have that a a proc on my staff and my dex is still below 300, even with uber buffs!

I still love friars though, even with their gimped start I think we are truely a balanced class now ... well I will be once mythic finishes making me that plate bra and thong set I ordered!

I'm also thinking of friar for pvp server, I have some experience in the class (got to lvl 20 in beta) not sure tho. Thinking about being a shaman

its cool how friars get a free robe every 5 levels

Hmm..
Alb leather is neutral to slash, and 15% vulnerable to crush as of patch 1.52.
Thus having capped crush resist from your epic is not a bad thing.
Tbh, it's surprising how few epic armor sets actually give large bonuses to useful resists. Minstrel one stands out but then, it doesn't come close to capping charisma or str and it has not a single +spec bonus on it.

Benefits: you kick major arse and you wont be needing the second res anyway

Solid to answer your original question about items ->

lots of stuff drops off hamadryads in lyonesse, bracers, neclaces, cloaks, rings, robes, jewlery. All with +rejuv/staff/enhance.

these items dont drop till 1.52 before you say no they dont

Stealth Friar Boots (aka. Regal boots)

Perfect for stealthing around Emain Macha. Whack some poor Kobold to death, and the +3 Rejuvenation will help your healing afterwards. An amazing item.


Envenom Friar Gloves (aka. Regal gloves)

Ideal for that stealth Friar who wants to get some nasty lifebane poison on his enemy. Use this on that nasty little Norseman and he'll be dead damn quickly. Superb item.
