Fresh install doesn't work

Anyone help with this one? We running a fresh install, on Win 2000 pro on a serious machine. XP2200+, 512 DDR, Geforce 4 etc. Everytime my friend tries to connect, he gets server timed out, or it crashes and says: mohaa.exe has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. Super annoying, and we have a clan match occuring on Monday. Anyone help us?

We thinking of doing a fresh install of windows. The mohaa disc is fine because he has installed from it before. Norton Utils - that wouldn't help would it?

Well...any ideas, fire em our way.

May sound silly, but you have applied the patch?

Yeah, forgot to say, have applied 1.1 UK - done this whole procedure 1000 times by now. This time, it just doesn't work.
