Freeserve (again)

Is it just me or has Freeserve's service gone down the spout again?
It happens every few months but hasn;t really improved this time.

Anyonw know what;s goin on? eg new hardware being installed/Freeserve giving up on customers?/No-one giving a **** ???

what's the prob. m8 just been pinging f.serve bworld and f.online 8.30ish b.w best 140 - 180 bw ctc
f.serve 200 - 250
f.online, crap 400 -1000
connecting to all 3 at 44000-48000
will conn to f.serve and surf net (want some files) let you know results

got engaged then conn at 45333 ten secs later
d.load speed upto 4.5k/s
seemed ok
then pinged ctc servers mostly ok but occaisionl spikes to 1000 on both

i always get a better game on bworld dial up
anyway do you?

Well, I;m in Cambridge and it can be a bit dodgey on connection. Pings are gettign better, though I nopw use Freeola (which intrestingly can get the freeserve emails) so I tend not to use it so much.

BTw, see "Problems" under the "Dialup" disscusion. the site quotes there DOES greatily improve your connection. In particular the time it takes to veruifyu passwords. Meaning that switching between ISP's is now quite easy
