Free the rogue quest broken?

Put today aside to do some SI quests, started of with free the rogue but noticed that Mercal was standign next to Arden when we received the quest. We tried shoutign his name next to the barrels for quite a while before leaving to do smoe other quests (the one that starts in Haven Village was broken too ). As we passed Krondon we popped in again on the off-chance and still nothing. I have just checked and Marcel is still next to Arden so he;s been there foe about 4 hours now . Whats going on?

free the rogue is not broken. he stands there until whoever is on the quest has talked to him to finnish the quest.

I'd have thought 4 hours was more than enough time to get to Diogel from Krondon . Seems a bit shite that someone can stop other people from completing it. Is he on a timer at all or will he stay for days if necessary?

try talking to him now. Maybe that will let you skip the step where you find him?

I tried right clicking and saying Mercal. I also tried telling Ardon "lost Mercal in the Stronghold" which you can say if you have lost him on way back. I don't think this worked cos i wasn't at the right step in the quest. I also tried killing him but he is a realm guard so I can't attack him . I will log in an hour or so and check if he's still there.

He's still there, it's been at least 19 hours now , not sure how long he was there before.

The rogue is still there . I've been trying to report the problem on rightnow but can't login for some reason and thanks to GOA's wonderful english skills i can't make them understand that i already know my logon details .
