Free Teamspeak 2 Test Servers

Some of you may know we've recently been trialling TeamSpeak 2 voice comms servers. We're now expanding this trial to continue our testing, which involves moving the Teamspeak servers onto a faster box and increasing the number of clients that can use the server at any time to 200 each. The servers remain totally free to use, and free to register, so you can create your own custom channels. Please spread the word and help us test!

The new Teamspeak addresses are:

213.221.175.4:8767 - GAME.NET TS (1) - Free Test!
213.221.175.4:8777 - GAME.NET TS (2) - Free Test!

These will also appear in the Web Server list in your Teamspeak client. The old servers no longer exist! Existing users may find you need to login anonymously and register an account and create your custom channels again.

All you need to start shouting abuse at your friends enhancing your teamplay is a microphone and a freshly installed copy of the TeamSpeak 2 client software. You can grab the latest version (RC2 2.0.32) from our FTP.

Windows version (~5MB)
http://play.game.net/Games/Download...eamspeak/client/win32/ts2_client_rc2_2032.exe

Linux version (~7MB)
http://play.game.net/Games/Download...peak/client/linux/ts2_client_rc2_2032.tar.bz2

You can add our server by going to Connection then connect in the options and entering the server address above, or using the Web Server List. If you haven't yet registered, you should initially login as anonymous, further instructions will then be viewable by clicking on the Lobby channel, including how to register and also set up a permanent, passworded channel for your clan or friends to use whenever they want. You can also try using the web interface to select and join a TS server via the list at http://webpost.deathace.net/

We would appreciate all feedback about the server, feel free to use it as much as you like and direct any comments or suggestions to the support form:

Regards,
The GAME.Net Team

Is there any way to stop people trying to recruit for clans during my Op Flash games?

And why did they seem to think we were playing Medal of Honour when the room was titled "Operation Flashpoint"?;)

I like vent.

We're looking at that as well but seeing TS is the single most popular voicecoom app out there today, it made sense to go with it first.

Ts USED to be the most popular :-]

Then TS2 came out and it was all buggy, and everyone buggered off to vent when it came out because the quality is so much nicer. Although it will cost ya more bandwidth :/

I always thought battlecom was the most popular (until bloody microsoft bought them out), and you can still download the original program off the web from a few fan sites.

These TS servers rock! We've been creating channels using the highest quality codec and there is no lag and sounds clear :D
Making fun outta my drunken clan mates is fun ;)

I'd echo that, me and luap played Raven Shield coop (unF) for about an hour and a half y'day and TS just worked.
Had it on voice activation to talk and it was seamless and clear as a clear thing on a clear day with an unobstructed view.

We still played like a couple of 80 year old ladies shuffling around in urine soaked tights in a pension queue tho, natch.

Not sure how we're structuring it yet after the test. Glad you like it :)

Theres an option to always join the same default channel in the connect options. Ive not seen an option to keep a channel open but it could well be there, ive just not seen one.

We made one, by accident, and we can't get rid of it and rename it :)
