I did this with a Yacht magazine and cancelled the subscription after the 4 free issues, I also made sure that I cancelled the Direct Debit too. I then proceeded to recieve a further 2 years of free issues, yay!

I never liked pcz. Always attempted to be so laddish, really bored the piss out of me.

I stopped buying magazines when it dawned on me that every review and news item was something I had already read, or read something similar.

I think the only magazine I buy occasionally now is Edge; and that is mainly for Red Eye's column.

they have worded it as if you get all these games free...

2 EXCLUSIVE FREE CD–ROMs, packed with shooter and strategy games

Shooter Special CD
Blast your way through this essential collection of the very best first person shooters. Featuring Noone Lives Forever 2, Unreal Tournament 2003, Jedi Knight 2, Battlefield 1942 and more...

Simply Strategy CD
Flex your mental muscle with the cream of strategy games. Test your powers in Age of Mythology, Stronghold: Crusader, Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom and more...

Surely they are not giving all those games away?, if they are infact just demos then isnt this a case of false advertising?.

I've just cancelled my pczone, still a good mag, but not something I want everymonth.

I've emailed them telling them to cancel it, tho not had a reply yet.

If they still take the money from my account next time. I'll cancel the direct debit through my bank.

Whats your experience of cancelling subscriptions good or bad?

I like PCG, mainly cos Swiss still writes for it.

But I mainly read Games magazine, or Edge now.
