Just got email free day blah blah..

Greetings,

Excalibur encountered, from the afternoon of Sunday 29th to Monday 30th, a
serious technical problem, which prevented players to connect despite the
immediate actions of our technical team. The problem has been solved on
Monday 30th June afternoon.
Because of the long shutdown of the Excalibur server, many English players
were unable to play; we decided to offer a free day to all the English
players with an active account. This free day will be added to your current
subscription period. Once again, please accept our most sincere apologies.

And if the only day you can play is Sunday evening? That would be a weeks worth of subscription wasted not a day. Personally I can only play at weekends so I think GOA owe me 3.5 free days not one :/

you guys should consider yourself lucky. As far as GOA is concerned I am no english player. Only players who "registered through the english subscription pages.." will receive the free day.

Heck, I am german but I cant tell you folks the names of the german servers - because I NEVER PLAYED ON EM.
Ah well..its just a frigging fucking day, so I think I can live with that 40 cents aren't worth the hassle - tbh it would cost me more to phone my lawyer.

Its another carrot dangled infront of our noses to give them more time to think up an excuse why we havent got an upgraded server, come on guys i hear the atari ST your using to host excal can sell quite well on ebay.

Well... we all knew the server would crash at this event. So it was our own fault imo. When mids sent 200 at prime time when hib have 100+ ready at dragon... KABOOM!

When they upgrade we will just be more online and down the server again.
