i have just installed fraps and recorded me mucking about in housing as a test, however i cant watch them as media player tries to find the codecs but fails. i have div-x.
anyone know a solution, do i have to change the fraps file type?

I got the full version sent to me, after I've recorded any videos of me messing around I can always just go into the folder I've chosen for the videos to be saved in, and then open them using windows movie maker....dunno if it's at all helpfull...but its what I do.

nvm, reinstalled fraps and it seems to be ok now :)

Use a video editing tool on the raw data that Fraps produces, you can slash the filesize down alot that way (try camtasia studio, or download one from download.com). If you have trouble playing videofiles try the VLC mediaplayer, its free, has all codecs you will ever need, and runs on very little system power. VLC player is a really good choice, havent used windows media player since i got it :D
