As for the match, all going to plan. France are ahead though Portugal are looking dangerous. Least the referee is up to date with portugal play style of diving about, Ronaldo's superman act in the penalty area was fucking hilarious, though he should have been booked for that one.
France penalty. Was soft however it was the right decision, he missed the ball due to a swift turn by Henry so left his trailing leg in a position where it would make some form of contact. In reality it wouldnt have tripped Henry but he made the most of a poor challenge. Not really a dive because the contact was there and significant though still soft as i said.
With portugal needing to attack more this second half be good to see if Henry can make the most of the room which is created. Zidane isnt on as high form as against Brazil but he having some nice touches and is orchestrating the team well

viva la france!! And as the english commentator said, good ridance to portugal. I might had changed my mind a bit about their play if they had changed it somehow during this match, but seriously..they are what i despised about the italians back in the days. Italy grown balls and physical play and the portugeuise have become girls all of them^^

He gets the reaction he does because of his behaviour on field. He is assessed by that and that alone. The crowd dont care about what was going on in his life other then that on the pitch.
No the referee should have booked at least 3 portugese players, ronaldo could have had a half dozen yellows for diving. The first half one was hilarious, i think he was auditioning for the followup to the new Superman movie when they decide to make it, he was that good. Others not as bad as that but pretty funny.
In the end the right result, portugal got punished for diving because they lost opportunities to score by doing so. Shame it took so long to happen. French took a lot of risks defending so deep but least they got the result.
If Ronaldo does continue his diving during the prem season I hope he gets sent of a few times. As much as it will hurt my team I want him to learn to stop fucking about and get on with creating actual chances.
Edit: lmao @ Scolari having a go at the referee, comical that he thinks they were hard done by. Hope he apologises when he sees the video of the match

Such a fucking shame to see what Portugal has evolved into, was one of my favorite teams together with Brazil to watch a few years ago, now I feel nothing else then despise for them.
Shame France won by a dive aswell though, it for sure was a risky tackle by the defender, but(imo) it was clear Henry fell when he noticed he couldn't reach the ball. Doubt he would've fallen if that situation happened in the middle of the field. I can understand the ref giving a penalty though, since he doesn't have access to replays.

close game, not that great. Portugal never really looked like scoring. Apart from the Bartez fuckup. France defended well and deserved the win. the diving was again beyond belief and the yet again the ref does sod all about it.
The Pauleta dive in the second half *75 min) was even more impressive than Ronaldo's many efforts, no one even close to him.

France need to up their game for Italy though they looked tired and out of idea in the last 20 mins.
