ANYONE help please!
I've just upgraded my computer from an Athlon XP 2000+ to an Athlon XP 2800+. I've got a new motherboard - Gigabyte GA-7NNXP. I've doubled my RAM, and now have 1Gb. I kept my graphics card 3D Blaster 4 Ti4200 64Mb, and NOW I have a nightmare with framerate...
I used to run without ANY problems, no framerate issues, no lag - now it's almost unplayable. I've got the newest drivers for the card (45.23) and DirectX9. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Daoc. I've turned off all the shadows and water and what not. I've changed the res from my usual 1280x1024 down to the 800x600. STILL no joy.
Now, I THINK the problem is stemming from Rain/Trees/Clouds - at one point I was at West Downs sitting down and looking at the sky, and had a red box in my FPS indicator.
Can anyone suggest ANYTHING? I've put a request onto RightNow, but want to play RIGHT NOW! Could it be card settings? Is there anything I can fiddle with in setting or bios?
Cheers for anything!
Dan

EDIT
Just seen something about the nForce drivers (my motherboard is nVidia nForce 2 chipset) so is it worth updating them? I (foolishly) used the ones that came with the board, so perhaps that is it?
