first of all hello,

i'm new to the forums so its nice to meet you all.
oh yeah thats it fps i have a gf4 mx 440 and am having problems getting above 60 fps it just sits at 60 constantly.
i managed to solve the problem by getting the refresh rate fix (for xp) but this doent work with any of the latest nvidia drvers im thinking of getting a gf4 ti4600 and cant see the point if i cant get the fps above 60.

any ideas?

ps. allready tried the max_fps thingy

Downloading powerstrip will allow you to set the refresh rates at anything you like. Get it from http://www.entechtaiwan.com/ps.htm

Bear in mind though this isnt quake, 60 fps or 100 fps will make no difference at all ...

do a goggle search for refreshlock, it works with and drivers and any cards, and can also be disabled whenever you want.

Micro$oft did a crap job with Win$hite by defaulting most games to run at 60Hz regardless of what refresh u set the monitor at.

Refresh Lock should work with the latest 40.x nvidia drivers

It does make a big difference. To smoothness but to my game as well.

Boosting the refresh with refreshlock also make things much smoother.
