I read FlameTop's column, and his rant about fov. WTF? I use fov 130, and as anyone else who has used a high fov can tell you, it requires a lot more skill to aim at a higher fov than it does at say 100 or 110. I don't consider it cheating or taking away from the 'immersive' nature of the game (whatever that is) and I'd certainly be pretty pissed off if leagues enforced a crazy fov rule. Thoughts?

I had to balance off the FOV with ease of aiming, I eventually settled with FOV 105.

Narrowing the FOV in Q2 is certainly disorientating, kind of make you seem you are travelling a lot slower. Haven't really tried this in Q3 tho.

I've heard reports of people who change FOV according to weapon - a very bot like activity unfortunately. Most of us have "sniper zoom" binds as well.

I have played in Q2 servers with fixed FOV and its sometimes difficult to adjust. I would be happy with a unlimited FOV, but maybe a restricted FOV range would be a compromise, i.e. FOV between 50 and 150 ?
