When I went to Download 2010 I got a nice surprise when I found out my favourite singer and my favourite guitarist had been working together. One of the tracks from Slash's new album has vocals from Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge) and it's quickly becoming one of my favourite ever songs.

YouTube - Slash feat. Myles Kennedy - Starlight - Download Festival - 13.06.2010

Anyway, I found a guy who'd done a video lesson for the intro of this song and it inspired me to get my old guitar out for the first time in yonks. It's not that hard and it sounds ace. Thought you guys might get a kick of out it.

In other news...givf more guitarist threads! I need more good excuses to pick my guitar up!

If you like Slash, I can highly recommend his new album...got tracks with Myles, Chris Cornell and Lemmy from Motorhead! The only slightly odd one is the cover of Paradise City with Fergie and Cypress Hill. That one's not so good if you ask me!

Slash - Slash - CDs at Play.com (UK)

Slash is my fav musician <3, is this his new album?

That's the one...he played a few tracks off it at Download, along with some old GnR stuff. Starlight, Promise and Crucify The Dead are all cracking tracks.

I got mine off iTunes and it had a couple more tracks, including the Paradise City cover I mentioned before.
