U gave me a good scare when u decloaked next to me, maybe u could have killed me instead - but u just wanted to play heheheh.

Nice duel after we ran outta arrows, but I guess I outlevel u by quite a distance - I didnt even have to pull out bow after my slam

I finally got a group!.

I enjoyed my tour of your Albion frontier a lot Ody.
I never thought about trying to kill you...I was looking for a group and had given up on Hibernia so I thought I'd look for an Albion to group up with..
I did feel a little guilty killing those Rangers..but they were aggresive to me..and prety good exp.
Scouts shield is awesome by they way...I dont think I could have killed you if i wanted to...maybe as you pulled a Fellwood...but I'm not that type...
Any advice on how a Ranger kills a scout?...Lately I shoot and get scout to about 20% health quickly....got 2.8 drawtime on my recurve....but then the scout Engages..and I cant hit him at all...if i go to melee ill be slammed..and Crit shooted.

Find one that is sitting or pulling a mob i guess.....

If u cant get a pet to annoy me, im afraid ure pretty much toast - unless im slow or unwary (which happens a lot).

If we were equal level u might be able to melee those last 20% out of me, but be aware that if im awake, u will only hit me with 1 shot, then i engage and /face, then run to u, SLAM, crit, crit, SLAM, crit, melee if ure still alive.

U prolly cant kill me, much the same way as i cant kill healers/druids/skalds/bards. I also have major probs with eldrichs and RM's.

Hmmmm, as a bard I don't think I could beat a yellow con scout. Maybe Miss, Riz and some of the others that have blade/blunt specs could but I am a nuture/music/regrowth spec.

Engage

All you have to do is Slam and one normal shot to kill I reckon Ody.
If you did all that damage..it would mean i had about 2k hp's..
If you Engage your shield is it only engaged at the person who fired first at you..could another Ranger shoot you while you are enaged with me for example?.
Ive had requests to bring Rangers to Albion frontier to hunt you down...so I want to know how to do it....

a) catch the other dude in combat mode with Slam (the usual case), you won't be able to crit him.
b) yes, you can only Engage one target at a time. Was going to mention this to Karam I think on some other thread who thinks a shield makes him invulnerable against archers. The scenario: Eleasias shoots you with his bow! Trapp shoots you with her bow! Hing shoots you with his bow!
c) a correctly specced Celt ranger will beat any other archer class in melee. It's a bit closer fight pre-1.50, but once the epic armors step into the picture...

Yes, I can only engage one target at a time. 2 archers of any kind ownz me.

Yes, u can only crit ppl that are not in combat mode. One thing i was considering was sneaking up on Tylar, SLAM and 2 shots (second crit), then melee the rest out of him.

I would like to see the ranger that can take me toe-toe with equal health in melee - remember i get 2 bowshots at him cuz o my slam. I know for a fact that 2 bowshots of mine takes Eleasias to less than 10% health (yes, I have tested my shots on him on several occasions).
