1st of all, gratz on RR9 hun. Maybe most peeps didnt give u credit for it, but they never played a scout then <smilles>.
My main is RR5 minstrel, on pryd / alb, and did most of RPs solo (without bb) and lately grouped with other stealthers.
Just got my scout to 49, 1 more night in AC and will be 50.
My spec is choosed after i asked many scouts on alb / pryd (credit goes to Blaien, rr7 scout and Roga, rr6 scout).
Briton scout, 10 dex / con / qui at start. End spec: 46 LB, 42 shield, 33 stealth, 29 slash. 3 pts left.
I dont care what thrust scouts say about their weap skill etc, ame slash is a style who helps u hit an enemy even with a low weap spec like mine (my minstrel is 50 inst / 29 slash / 31 stealth). And Riposte comes in at a lower end cost which is very valuable.
Atm i have aug dex 2, aug qui 2, dodger 1, mob 1. Got jumped at lvl 47 by a sb who missed PA on me, and after slam i meleed him, got him to ~5% hp left without any bow shoots, i was hiting for ~80-100 unbuffed with ame / riposte, and i did evade / block most of his hits, what killed me was his dots
I love my scout girl (briton is cutest race in game ^_^), and all me wanted to ask u is this:
Is AP and Purge better than IP and Purge? Was thinking like this: If enemy does hit me bad (like 200-300 / swing) IP will only mean 4-5 swings more to kill me (excluding dots, weapon procs etc). But AP3 as example, will lower his damage enough, adding my good defence (planing to get mob2 / dodger 2) will make me survive longer than with IP? I ask cause i never had AP, and cant test it with my minstrel since minstrel dont get all sweet things the scout has.
IMO, scout has best offence / defence in game. Dont talk about savages fotm, they dont have range we have, they cant hide, etc.
