Release tested on me I believe and it does about 330-390 damage on me (tank with nice resists)

nice resists maybe, but plate armor is inherently 15% vulnerable to the dmgtype..

the damage/snare will do less damage than a spec damage line...
How high do you intend to spec to?
If you spec to 50 then your snare/dd damage won't be _that_ far behind the level 47 darkness DD...
(179 as opposed to 219 list, so about 20% lower damage)
it has a nice snare effect though
What damage do you normally get with your DD? and do you use the debuff one as well? (as you'll lose that)

snare effects dont work with root though, well at least for the wizards dd/snare (which is basically same spell just diff damage type and shorter range (bug atm being increased to same range).

well i tried darkness on gorre yesterday and was highly amused at the damage, i was expecting great nukes, instead i got <300 on most nukes and only above 300 once with (-1**) on every hit, so im either staying rc or going supp, i think supp will be my choice.
