I've seen places offering it for around the £22 mark so far, though i think a website had it a few days ago for around £18-19

Will be keeping an eye on it though.

Already planning my game. Starting club/country with Iceland and some random team. Iceland have bags of potential with a 'golden generation' in there early twenties/late teens. Fun times.

One thing i've always hated or had a stong dislike for in these games is those loan deals. Throwing out a for instance here, but i can see that from the demo and the retail game someone like Daniel Sturridge gets put up for loan, but when you go in for him they come back and say "nah, we don't want him to go to you".

This is with mid-table teams who aren't really competing against someone like Chelsea either, so wouldn't be as if its detrimental.

The other thing about the loan deals is when you're lower league, you go in and ask a higher league club if they can loan <name>, they agree but then the player "has no intention of dropping a league" - Yet when we accept loan deals as managers of high end teams, the players always go to the lower leagues.

Couldnt resist, despite telling myself I'd wait for someone to buy it for me for christmas. Then had the usual dilemma of who to start my first game as (I dont like starting as a top team, I like to earn it :) )

Briefly thought about getting Cally thistle to the Champs League, but went random and got AFC Wimbledon, got a few loanees in from League 1/Champs sides and playing 4-5-1

getting sucked in as usual, think I can say goodbye to my evenings for a while.....

bought it yesterday! Started off unemployed and going on holiday-applying for all jobs. Ended up with Boston United in the BSN, they were 18th when I took over. Slowly moving up the ranks, got a few loans in place and not doing too bad in the FA trophy.

So yeah, those hating on Steam as DRM/Anti piracy need to shut the fuck up and go and look at the whingers on TPB moaning about a lack of a cracked version yet. It probably won't last but it's great news.

Do you still do beta testing and stuff Wazzerphuk?

I didn't touch the demo really but am getting to grips with the new layout now, started a game as Eastleigh in the BSS but have only just finished pre-season. It seems as though the graphics engine is getting hungrier and hungrier each year, the 3D matches are quite jerky despite using low settings.

It may helped delay the cracking, but that isnt what people are worried about. Find a way of stopping it being cracked pre release (ie trace the person leaking the game weeks before it is out) without putting the people who buy it legally in a position where they cant choose if they want ad-ware (afteral they spam you with "this weeks offers") or not.

Still think you should release a non-steam version in a couple months time, but no doubt that break your money grabbing agreement with steam :p

You are what is commonly described as a noob. The injury levels are fine, unless of course you don't know how to manage your team properly. ;)

Not Beta tester, proper QA person. If there's such a thing. Make sure your graphics card drivers are updated, or, stop playing on a dinosaur of a PC :p

Well unfortunately the situation is such that we have to worry about it, in order to ensure we're still here in the future to make this game. It's not up to me but I agree, I'd personally like a non-Steam version too but I'd also like a non-Steam version of Deus Ex 3... it's not my preference but if I want to play the game it's not that much of a hassle.

Damn Tamworth beating me in penalties....I've not yelled at my computer monitor so much in quite some time. No wonder its been reported that sport games lead to more stress than FPS's!

I can quite imagine. Yesterday when I was playing...one minute it was 6pm(ish) next i was getting onto 1am. Fortunately I have no wife who was expecting me to go to bed at some sane hour :m00:

Do dislike not being able to blast through a season in a day this year... oh to be back at Uni.

On the plus side I have reached the midway point in my first season with Sheriff. Signings were basically bringing Moldovans back to Moldova as I've added a only 7 foreigners in the first XI rule, which with Sherif there was a great lack of them (wahey we only had one that could play first XI..)

Continentally as we lost the title the previous season to them twats Dacia we only got entered for the Europa, after victories of Sirojk Blireg and Koper we faced Celtic.. who thumped us 7-0 to send us out.

Domestically however it is a different story... unbeaten in the league and cup whilst holding a 3 point lead over rivals from the capital Zimbru, things are looking good.

As the national team it has just been a case of restoring pride and stopping the mauling that they have faced. Though we have only recorded 1 victory and 1 draw in the 7 matches I've played the ideals of shoring up the defense before bolstering the attack, the result has been narrows loses against some of the big nations (1-0 Holland, 2-1 Czechs etc) with 2-0 win over San Marino and 0-0 draw with Turkey.

10 years to Moldovan citizenship so I best get hoping the academies improve.. hah.

I hear that there are problems with Goalkeepers losing stats and players randomly retiring... is this true?

I'm just getting back into the jist of the game now, few seasons into my first team. Only really coasting along but think i wanna start looking at backroom staff and training schedules etc - I assume the schedules work the same as the past few versions of Football Manager to get the best out of the team?

Found that quite a few of my midfielders are getting really unfit, probably has co-incided with some of my backroom staff getting poached off me.

The spec of my laptop should be fine! I'll check for a driver update.

If it's still broken then I'm going to demand you're sacked :p
