Every week thousands of people go to their church (stadium), sing their hymn's (chants), and partake in other religious activities (repeated consumption of fermented vegetable products, exchanges of blessings etc).
Generally, the various Churches dont get along, until their star disiples hold services together, which unite the religous communities together.
Well I gotta disagree, the game of football in its purest form is a good game. However professional football is a shambles, driven only by money. HOW can one player be worth 50 grand a week? Seriously thats ridiculous. We were talking about footy the other day in the office.... When I was a lad I used to play for our school team, Liverpool players wore red Everton players wore blue with white shorts ManUtd wore red with white shorts. Liverpool players (mainly) came from Liverpool etc.
Footy today is way too commercial, so I don't watch it anymore, haven't for years.
Additionally it seems that when we play national tournaments (World cup, Euro) we lose, when we play international team tournaments we do well (Man Utd). Is this because of the high ratio of foreign players in our home teams? Probably.
