The bigger worry for Arsenal now is can they keep Fabregas? If so how long for? Same goes for Wenger, it is very much looking like he will be moving on at the end of his contract.

I honestly think that if Mcclarn bollocks up the England team in 2008 Championships(if we get there), Wenger will wait a while then snap up the England managers job.

He took "Boring, boring Arsenal" and made them play beautiful football, I bet he is gagging to turn it around for England and get all those players playing to International standard

That is a big worry about Cesc but people are reading too much into Wenger. He has never once out of 3 plus contracts signed a new one with less than a year to go. Cesc has a 7 years left on his contract and has stated unless Wenger leaves he will play out that contract befor going to Barcelona.

I do not think Wenger will leave unless the club gets taken over and he dose not like the new guy. No other club in the world would give Arsen the control Arsenal have. He piolted our youth system including the international camp. He has dictated our transfer policy and he even set the ball in motion for the new Stadium and training facility.

I hope if Wenger dose step down as Arsenal manager it will not be to take over another club it will be to move onto the board.

so who do you guys think they'll replace him with?

Farfan would be cool, although he isn't the kind of striker they're looking for. He's scoring shitloads of goals though.

I think he should throw a 30mil and Reyes bid in for Villa. If its not a big name it will be sending the wrong signals to Cesc and any other unsettled players.

Based on what? No heard anything on the grapevine about any move for Fab.

Personally I would have liked Henry to have one more year at Arsenal to help bring along the likes of Walcott. But for the club it was probably the best move. They are capitalising on his value now rather than wait watch that value drop.

A fantastic player and a great loss to the Premiership. Anyone who thinks this is the start of an Arsenal collapse to mid table obscurity is undervaluing the rest of the side and the manager greatly. Arsene has an uncanny knack of selling just at the right time (Petit, Overmars.....). I don't believe for one second this move was done without his blessing.

Love your Sig Marc, although Giteau's career was effectivley ended when he had his ribs smashed in during the last world cup. Not been the same player since. Too many injuries and time out the game. Still has big mouth though!

I'll just quote what Henry said in an interview:

Henry said:
The former Juventus and Monaco frontman compares the situation now facing Arsenal to that encountered in 2005 when former captain and midfield lynchpin Patrick Vieira left for Juve.

Cesc Fabregas emerged immediately as a world-class replacement and was central to a run to the Champions League final the next season.

And Henry believes history will repeat itself in his wake.

He continued: "The team here is growing and there is some amazing talent here and I do think this is the right time for Robin van Persie, Emmanuel Adebayor and Nicklas Bendtner, who is coming back from Birmingham, to shine.

Henry said:
"I don't believe what everybody is saying about the club collapsing, having a lack of players and everyone leaving. I think it is untrue.

"Cesc Fabregas is a world-class player, Robin van Persie is a world-class player, hopefully Adebayor will become a world-class player, Tomas Rosicky is a world-class player, Jens Lehmann is a world-class player, (Kolo) Toure and (William) Gallas are world-class players. You can go through the whole squad like that."

I agree with what he said.

Your correct he has said he wants to end his carear at his boy hood club. But if your trying to suggest he will do it now your wrong. As i said earlier he said the only way he will not honour his contract is if Wenger leaves.

Looks like Torres is heading to Liverpool for 25m. Still think they lack 2 wingers to really mount a serious challenge.
I don't rate Pennant/Gonzales/Zenden, Kewell hasn't been same player what he was at leeds.

Only thing upseting is the low price really. Arsenals last seasons was great whe you look at the individual growth of each new/young player. Now the young blood has to step up their game a notch and fill Henrys spot, thats all.

I'm a Jeventino so I know about when your team is fuckedup and drained.

Would been interesting to see Henry+Trezeguet in Arsenal like in Marsellie

Let's hope Bendtner is up for the challenge, he's been doing quite well for Denmark and Birmingham, hope we'll get a Danish player with star quality once again :)

Bendtner is an arrogant prick ... I do think it's what they need atm, although they need a experienced player aswell.

Sadly the amount of goals he got for Birmingham do not suggest he can replace Henrynot yet a while anyway. But if it means Arsenal doing well i hope im proved wrong :)

he was injured half of the season though.

On another note - Tevez has mentioned that he wants to play for Arsenal... Omfg, I hope they're buying him. Inter got enough offensive players anyway.

Tevez wouldn't be too shabbish :)

And Bendtner did seem to score a lot more goals on the reserve team... But I guess we'll see :)

Gudjohnsen will sign for Utd

Torres will sign for Liverpool eventually when Athletico get the asking price.

Kaka will join Madrid.

Kaka won't be joining Real madrid. Im 95% sure about it.

And for Tevez ... well, it's either Inter or Arsenal. Inter has plenty of strikers though, so I dont think he will get much playtime over there. They've got lots of players from Argentina though.

Isn't Tevez price tag 30m? if so, Arsenal won't pay out that kind of cash.

20 mil i have heard you will get him for. Wenger has already made nearly 30 mil this colsed season. With Henry Reyes Aliadiare ect so who knows.

I think Owen for 9 mil would be one hell of a signing we can get the ball to the box better than any team and he could be the guy to get it in the net. And those saying he wont move down South he did move to Spain so who knows.

I've said all along you need a 20 goal striker to put ball in the net, as rest of your play is class.

Owen would be a great signing without doubt.

But Wenger has never thrown about cash like Chelsea/Utd, can't see that changing now with new stadium just been built.

In a few years when that extra income from gate receipts kicks in, then i think Arsenal will be up there spending money.

Or i could well be wrong, and you splash out loads this season :p

I think your right. He dose not like throwing the cash. He is more likly to throw the reported 60 mil he has (30 from sales 30 from the board) at young players rather than owen or some one like him.

Wenger may give VanPersie Walcott Bartender and Adeb a season to prove they can cut it but we need to buy a big player to stop the rumours about the club colapsing imo.

Owen is one of the finest players we ever had the pleasure of cheering as a RM supporter. Humble attitude, fine playing (lethal at counterattacking), never whined or complained despite being the nº12 player throu all the season.
Moreover, starting from bench almost all the season, he managed to score around 15 or 18 goals (iirc had the best goals/minutes played ratio of the Liga that year).

Wish he had stayed here.
